What is Culture? How does it affect us/family? What does my culture look like?

What is Culture? is a word for people's 'way of life', meaning the way they do things. Different groups of people may have different cultures. A culture is passed on to the next generation by learning. Culture is seen in people's writing, religion, music, clothes, cooking, art, and in what they do.

Challenge: Create a self portrait that contains at least 3 elements of your culture(s). Skills: Enhance painting techniques. Use a variety of compositional structures. Use contrast, value and color.

What is Collage? is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different shapes to create a new image. A collage may sometimes include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored or handmade papers, portions of other artwork or texts, photographs and other found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas.
