2  Aim of the class is to cover as many methods of “Producing Media” as possible that pertain to the 21 st century.  The world has changed… The average person can now reach an attentive audience of millions: › “A Year in 40 Seconds” “A Year in 40 Seconds” › “Cooking up a Story” “Cooking up a Story”

3  Video Newsmagazine.  Independent Film Making  Sound Recording  Comic Life- Digital Comics and Novellas  Digital SLR- Photography  Safety Productions

4  Biweekly, in a “Nightly News” format.  3-4 regular topics shown each week: › News headlines › Sports news › School interview › Closing Credits and funny  Production team of 3-4 students, responsible for all facets of production.  Shown to school during SSR or in Commons.

5  Individualized film making projects of the student’s choice.  Chance for the student to be creative, make statements, pursue interests, etc.  May be used as contributing pieces in Newsmagazine or in Sound Recording.

6  Recording audio or video, capable of being used for presentation on the World Wide Web or iTunes in the form of a podcast.  Use of Audacity and Sound Forge for sound recording, special effects and mixing.

7  Fun, easy to use program on the Mac.
