All-Year Electives 7th Grade Art Spartan Singers/Golden Notes Band Orchestra Yearbook 8th Grade Spartan Singers/Golden Notes Band Orchestra Yearbook Spanish I (Zero Period) Teacher Assistant Library Aide Current Events STEAM Life Skills *Sandburg also offers AVID for both 7 th and 8 th grade students. The selection process for these classes have already been completed.

Pre-Advanced English 8 and History 8 Pre-AP courses are highly recommended for honors students planning on attending a four-year college or university. (acceptance required) More rigorous curriculum. Use of primary source documents. See course description for more information.

Zero Period Courses (7:30-8:25) Spanish 1: This is a high school equivalent course taught by a high school Spanish teacher. Due to the demand for this class, if you are accepted into the class, it is a one year commitment without the option to drop. Zero Period P.E.: Students in our music and AVID programs have priority. Taking this course will allow students to have two electives during the regular school day (8:30-2:30). – For example, an AVID student can have AVID and play in the band if they take zero period P.E.

Registration Process Current 6/7 grade registration forms due to homeroom teacher on Monday, April 20. Schedule Pick-Up Day: Thursday, August 6 First Day of School: Wednesday, August 12
