CASE STUDY 1: SHARON Sharon is a 33-year-old mother of two with a goal of returning to her pre-pregnancy fitness level.

CASE STUDY 2: DAVID David is a 57-year-old athlete who has knee and low-back soreness and wants to train more specifically for his sports.

CASE STUDY 3: JAN Jan is a 17-year-old volleyball player who wants to develop strength and power to improve her chances of receiving a college scholarship.

SUMMARY Each case study presented in this chapter provides an example of how the ACE IFT Model can be applied to real-life situations that a personal trainer might encounter. Each case study is not the only solution to that client’s needs, but rather an example of how a progressive model of exercise program design can be applied to help clients safely achieve meaningful results.
