2. Once upon a time at Shenzhen Foreign Language School, there was a class full of English students who would not listen to their teacher, Mr. Kane. Mr. Kane tried to tell the students a story. Instead of listening, the boys played Aluba and talked to each other in Chinese. The girls slept and did homework from other classes. None of the students listened to the teacher.

3. This made Mr. Kane very mad. He made the whole class stay in the classroom during lunch to practice English. While everyone else in the school ate lunch, the students wrote sentences and practiced pronunciation. “Repeat after me,” he said, “I promise to pay attention in class and try hard to learn English. 4. MMMRRAAWWWWWWWW !

5. Before they could finish the sentence, the students heard a very loud noise coming through the window. It sounded like a thousand people moaning at the same time. There was also the sound of metal twisting and glass breaking. The entire class ran outside of the classroom to see what was happening. Across the basketball courts, they saw a huge crowd of students and teachers coming out of the cafeteria. The crowd had pushed through the glass doors and shattered them.

6. There was something wrong with the crowd. The students all looked very white. Their bodies and school uniforms were covered in a dark, red liquid. Some of them looked like they were missing body parts. They all walked very slowly with their arms in front of them. They chanted “I'm fine. And you?” over and over again. There were some teachers with the crowd of students. Something terrible had happened to them as well.

7. The students from the English class were very scared. They had never seen anything like this before. Mr. Kane was also worried, but he knew what was happening. He had seen this kind of thing happen in a movie before. It seemed that everyone who had eaten in the cafeteria that day had changed into a monsters. As the crowd of monsters came closer to the classroom building, Mr. Kane's English class could see them more clearly.

8. The male teachers had become grotesque. They had all grown to at least 3 meters tall. Their faces were elongated and the their teeth became very sharp. Hair was growing from every inch of their bodies. They were half-wolf and half-human. They were werewolves.

9. The werewolf teachers ate only meat, chewed on bones all day, and howled at the moon every night. (Except during Mid-Autumn Festival, when they howled at the moon with their mouths full of moon cake).

10. The female teachers were also different. Their skin was much whiter than before. Their canine teeth had grown very sharp. They had transformed into vampires. They survived by drinking blood from peoples necks. In the nighttime they changed into bats and flew through the darkness.

11. Usually, vampires cannot go outside during the day. The bright sun burns their pale skin and kills them. To avoid this, these vampires carried huge umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun.

12. The teacher-vampires had big red stains around their mouths from all the blood they drank. They said they drank blood because it was good for their health.

13. The bodies of the zombie students were falling apart. Some students were missing an arm or a leg. Others had gaping holes in their heads. As they moved slowly towards the classroom buildings, they dropped body parts along the way. Luckily for them, the school cleaning ladies had also turned into zombies. They followed behind the students and picked up their fallen body parts.

14. The zombies spread out around the school. Some walked to the teachers dormitory, where a few living teachers were resting. Others gathered by the main gate, looking for people to eat. Most of the zombies, werewolves, and vampires went towards the classroom though. They could smell the students in Mr. Kane's class, and were hungry for a good meal. The students quickly decided to block the exits and the stairways with desks and stacks of books. This would stop the zombies for a little while, but they had to decide what else to do to escape from the monsters.

15. Finish the Story! What should Kane and the students do next?

16. Some ideas A group of students could sneak out of the school to find some brave, strong, factory workers in the area to kill the monsters. The workers can lead the students to victory! There is a secret stash of silver chopsticks hidden in the directors office. If the students can find the silver chopsticks, they can use them to stab the monsters through the heart and kill them. The monsters are very scared of garlic. A group of students could sneak into the cafeteria kitchen to get some to scare the monsters.
