Prepared September 2010 Jennifer van der Valk – NOHFC Marketing 14 Application Process for NOHFC Programs Two stage application process Applications are initially reviewed for eligibility by the NOHFC Program Staff based on the published program guidelines and program policy. All applicants receive a written response from the NOHFC regarding eligibility. If eligible, next steps will be outlined in the correspondence. Eligible private sector applications are evaluated by NOHFC’s due diligence provider (Deloitte & Touche). Eligible public sector applications are evaluated by the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry. NOHFC Committees review the evaluations and make recommendations to the Board. The NOHFC Board makes the final decision regarding NOHFC approvals.

The NOHFC has approved more than $649 million in funding. The NOHFC has leveraged more than $2 billion from other project partners. The NOHFC has helped to create or sustain 15,856 jobs and over 470 co-op positions.
