Objective: To explore rates using models.

Unit Rates You are asked to teach a math lesson to kindergarteners. They cannot add, subtract, multiply or divide; but they can count. In fact, they can count up to 500. Construct a model to help the students answer the following question. A package of 5 crackers have 45 total calories. How many calories does one cracker have?
