They are authorized to the level indicated by the code entered in the 3d position of the SMR Code. (1st Position of the Maintenance Code) - Intermediate Direct support level can remove, replace, and use the item. (2nd Position of the Maintenance Code) - Non-repairable. No repair is authorized. (Recoverability Code) - Non-repairable item. When unserviceable, condemn and dispose of the item at the level of maintenance shown in the 3rd position of the SMR Code.
