Classification Rohypnol is a depressant that belongs to Schedule IV, meaning it has a low potential for abuse

History It was first synthesized in Europe by Hoffman-La Roche
It first appeared in the U.S. in the early 1990’s The drug has been shipped into the U.S. through international mail or carrier services from other countries
