SAT ACT O Register by October 9 th for the November 7 th test O This is last exam before most college applications are due O Register by November 5 th for the December 5 th test O Go to college board website for additional dates in 2016website O If you register with college board, you can take practice exams O Register by September 18 th for the October 24 th test O There is a late registration and fee date as well O This is last exam before most college applications are due O Register by November 6 th for the December 12 th test

Arts College Pre-screening for Auditions O For many of your auditions there is a pre-screening process that requires special attention and information O Some of the pre-screening deadlines are as early as October 1 st O Please see the follow teacher for you specific art: O Dance—Anderson O Instrumental—Reynolds O Vocal—Bearden O Visual—Partridge/Miles O Creative Writing—Strasser O Theater--Carassco O Video--TBA

Student of the Month O We are continuing the tradition of each grade level nominating a new student of the month beginning in October O Each months will rotate the focus on nomination based on our new Student Learning Objectives (SLOs): O S—Scholar (Oct. & Nov.) O C—Citizen (Dec. & Jan) O P—Professional (Feb. & Mar.) O A—Artist (Apr., May & June) *The rotation will continue until June

ACT Program O Purpose: create a proactive culture amongst our students to strive for excellence both academically and artistically. O Each grading period, student’s grades, attendance and citizenship are monitored to determine both at-risk and probation O At-risk vs. Probation O At-risk means you are “at-risk” of being on probation at the semester O There are no consequences when notified; it is a warning that you need to improve O Probation means you will have to appeal to participate in every activity on campus that you wish to participate in that is not required by a class (i.e. field trips, pullouts, dances) O Appeals will be held after every six-week grading period O If on probation, it is for the entire semester and you will have to appeal for both six-week grading periods of that semester

AT-RISK & PROBATION ELIGIBILITY O Academics/Citizenship O 2.5 GPA or below O Including citizenship O Any Ds or Fs O To ensure you are CSU/UC eligible O Attendance O 20+ uncleared tardies and absences O Include period absences as well a full day O You can clear absences through the websitewebsite O Any truancies There will also are changes coming to the appeals process via changes to a new pullout policy Student handbook will be available for you to review on the website soon
