Key Initiatives Regional Aboriginal Development Alliance The alliance crosses over Mid North Coast and North Coast regions Successful Expression of Interest to be selected as a trial Local Decision Making model under OCHRE (based on the CAPO model with special interest groups) Local Decision Making Committees Number of local sites selected as trial bodies.

Key Initiatives Forster LALC – Transfer of land to MidCoast Water Agreement reached to sell 1600ha site to government water utility Cultural access rights retained in area First agreement of its kind July 2015 – signing of the agreement

Thunghutti LALC Culture and heritage in partnership with NPWS and LLS Housing management outsourced

Kempsey LALC – Repatriation Developing plan with Dunghutti Elders Council, Ministry of Arts, OEH and local community Recent trip to Washington DC to return Ancestral remain back to Dunghutti country Another planned trip to Manchester, UK in November 2015 At this stage there are 11 Ancestors to return home

Unkya LALC Tours Unkya LALC is located in Macksville. Unkya LALC has set up a cultural eco-tourism enterprise at Gagaal Wanggaan (South Beach) National Park has been hand back to Gumbaynggirr people of the Nambucca Valley.

Bowraville Memorial A memorial is planned for the victims of the Bowraville murders New Memorial will be opened on 7 September 2015
