Infrastructure providing local access, especially in the EU’s less developed regions. “i2i” ICT networks policies : have social impact favouring inclusion and reducing digital divide in less developed areas and accession countries in support of local initiatives

http://www.eib.org Montpellier, 24-26 November 2004IDATE Foundation’s Seminar “i2i” RESULTS “i2i” - ICT networks by end 2003 Approved loans: EUR 4.9bn 29 projects 11 First “i2i” was achieved with success: Total by end 2003 Approved loans: EUR 21bn Signed loans: close to EUR 17bn Demand existed and EIB was able to meet it
