Aerospace Education Aerospace Education STEM Kit Program  FY13: NDEP provided $250,000 to expand STEM outreach to CAP squadrons, AFJROTC and CAP educator members  5 STEM Kit subject/career areas –flight simulators, rockets, model aircraft & remote control, astronomy & robotics  Selected vendors distribute kit products; NHQ/AE distributes associated educational materials developed for kits  Current program stats: - 400 requests filled; 70% to CAP units - Over 40,000 youth impacted - Evaluations averaging 4.8 out of 5.0  FY14: $200,000 for program continuation  Future: expand and enhance kit components

Aerospace Education Aerospace Education Aerospace Connections in Education (ACE)  K-6 elementary program; began in 2007  Patterned after cadet program: - Aerospace-themed: academics; character; physical fitness  21 hands-on, inquiry-based lessons per grade - Aligned with national academic standards  Lessons conducted by teachers, parents, volunteers  Almost 100,000 youth impacted thus far - 108 schools; 657 teachers; 20,000 youth; 27 wings last year
