Module One: Information Literacy zStudents complete Weeks 1-6 of this Module over a six week period. zFinal product is a class website of resources using the social bookmarking site del.icio.us. zStudents add valuable resources to the site, by using the tools and exercising the skills they reviewed and enhanced during the Module. zClassroom teachers assign what topic(s) students are responsible for contributing to the site.

Module Two: Technological Literacy and Web 2.0 zStudents complete one of the units from this Module over a six week period. zEveryone completes Week 12 as a wrap- up. zClassroom teachers choose which unit they would like students to work on as part of the module.

Applications zUnit D: Once upon a Time zCreate subject-specific digital stories; zAnnotate pictures of famous works of art; zCreate a video dictionary for ESL or science class; zCreate digital stories about current events zShare, comment, and add notes to photos or images to be used in the classroom; zUse tools in Flickr Toys to create motivational posters, magazine covers, cd covers, and more, using shared photos; zCreate a storybook using shared images; zPost images to inspire writing and creativity; zFind resources to embed in blogs and wikis; zRepresent literature or poetry through photos.

Applications zUnit E: Paint by Numbers zCreating graphic organizers and Venn Diagrams using Excel can include any discipline – Ancient Civilization graphic organizer, cell organelle graphic organizer zCreate timeline; zAnalyze classroom data from science experiments zCreate single use spreadsheets to convert temperatures from Celsius to Fahrenheit, determine sales tax on an item etc; zCreate charts and graph or scatter plots for homework or projects in Math or Science lab reports; zCreate mindmaps; zReal-world student projects like predicting trends in real estate, mortgage rates, stock market, obesity in America.

Applications zUnit F: Multimedia Mania zFlash cards for foreign language; zField Trip Slide Shows - Develop field trip slide shows to review and apply knowledge learned on a field trip. Students can work together to make a slide show that presents what they saw, as well as what they learned; or better yet a virtual field trip; zAutobiographical Stories or Biographical Stories; zInteractive Book Reports; zPresentations of any type for any subject; zAuthentic student projects such as starting a new business zScreencasting; zeScrapbooking.
