3 minute tardy policy: Student is considered tardy 3 minutes after the initial bell. No gum No cell phones/classroom phone use: Cell phones will be confiscated and turned in to the office for parent pick up.

Please refer to our school website/or our teacher web site for the regular and minimum day schedules. We will visit the library and computer lab generally every three weeks. Students are encouraged to participate in the Accelerated Reader Program and Battle of the Books program.

Language Arts: Writing Vocabulary Grammar Spelling Reading Novels: My Brother Sam Is Dead, Rifles for Watie, The Outsiders Book Reports: 1 group project per trimester

US History: Scientific Revolution & Age of Exploration through America’s role as a world power prior to WWI. Note-taking: Cornell Notes Community Service: 6 hrs. each trimester Video Clips: PBS, Educator Versions ( a general permission slip will be sent home for parent approval.

Homework given Mon.-Thurs. and on some weekends Grade Reports: every three weeks; students have activated ESPRI accounts. Parent ESPRI accounts…forms are available on the counter. No late work accepted Absent work- same number of days to make-up Occasional opportunities for extra credit Make-up tests/quizzes after school
