3. First Day of School Meet in the auditorium (same seating as today) Go to division for first hour Receive ID’s, schedule, announcements in Division Go to full day of classes (shortened periods) Dismiss at 3:15 School 8 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. Monday - Friday

7. Establishing an Account Parent Portal can be found on the lanetech.org website under the Parent link on the home page Select “Click here to sign set up” 

8. Establishing an Account Complete the required fields. Provide your email to receive “triggers” for changes in the attendance and grades of your students. You can add your email by clicking the Add Email button.

9. Establishing an Account Read the User Agreement and acknowledge agreement Complete the process by clicking Sign Up.

10. Linking to a Student Record Log into your account on Parent Portal and the following message will be present on the screen: Click on the link Add a student to my account.

11. Linking to a Student Record Obtain your student’s PIN from Lane Tech. Repeat if you have more than one student.

12. Linking to a Student Record After filling out all of the required fields, click Submit. If you have more than one student in a CPS school, repeat this process as necessary.

13. Using the Parent Portal Important functions include: Grades Attendance Report Card Triggers Note: The Report Card link will only be made available AFTER report card pickup at school

14. Grades Blue letter grades are the current grades for each class. Click on any blue letter grade to find the listing of grades per assignments. This will also show any missing assignments and the overall percentage for the class. Cycles grades are progress reports. Semester grades are final and part of the student’s transcript. 16. Attendance This link will display a list of all attendance events (absences, tardies), both excused and unexcused, recorded for your student during the school year.

17. Triggers Triggers allow parents to set customized thresholds or “alert events.”
