Social Media Metrics You need metrics in order to understand your audience Back before the internet, the only metrics you had were reports that came out every so often. Metrics today are in real-time, meaning they are updated every second* Metrics can now be broken down by gender, country, income, education, location, computer type, operating system, and lots more.
