2 “Nature for Life” workshop Collaborative project from the Healthy Communities Partnership Held workshop on Sept 30, 2014 – focus on children & youth – Goal: work with families, communities and municipalities to connect children and youth with nature – Objectives: learn about value of connection with nature for families and children → identify & build network of like-minded people → identify & develop projects to further enhance connection with nature www.healthyllg.org/_resources/Nature_for_Life_Report_Event_2014.pdf – One Project suggested: Working with health, community and social service providers to incorporate nature into their work with children/youth and families.

Working group of interested people from September workshop – Paula Stewart, Lois Dewey, Jane Torrance, Carol Anne McNeil, Susan Cressy and Kara Symbolic Focus: connect children and youth with nature to improve health and wellbeing Target: doctors, nurses, community and social service providers and their clients
