36 Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) l Orange County received $2.5 million to provide financial assistance and housing stabilization services l Funding for two major activities: Financial assistance for households at risk of being homeless Housing relocation and stabilization services

37 Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) Current Status: l Program began November 1, 2009 l Administered by United Way l Five full time case management positions created (for up to 24 months) l 280 households are receiving financial assistance (900 individuals served) l $1.3 million expended to date

38 Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) l Orange County received $1.1 million in the first phase funding l Funds are for energy saving measures and repairs in homes occupied by very low- income families
