2. What is a WebQuest? A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that students interact with comes from resources on the Web. http://edweb.sdsu.edu/webquest/webquest.html

3. According to Bernie Dodge... A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity engaging students with resources on the Internet. Each WebQuest has its own motivational dilemma presented in a scenario format. Questions are posed and creative work is expected! Learners process and transform information as they solve the problem. WebQuest components include an Introduction, a specified Task, a list of Hyperlinked Resources, a suggested Process, and an Evaluation and Conclusion section.

Six steps of a WebQuest 1.The Introduction orients students and captures their interest. 2.The Task describes the activity's end product. 3.The Process explains strategies students should use to complete the task. 4.The Resources are the Web sites students will use to complete the task. 5.The Evaluation measures the results of the activity. 6.The Conclusion sums up the activity and encourages students to reflect on its process and results.
