3 Awards for All – slide 3 Version 1 – June 2007 Programme Overview Joint Lottery grants programme Awards for All funds projects which enable people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities as well as projects which promote education, the environment and health You may be interested to know that in the last year 10 groups from Rushmoor made successful applications and almost £76,000 is now helping to make a difference in our area

5 Awards for All – slide 5 Version 1 – June 2007 You can apply if.. You are a:  not-for-profit group  parish or town council  school  health body You have:  a bank or building society account that requires at least two people to sign for each cheque or withdrawal You can:  spend the grant in one year

6 Awards for All – slide 6 Version 1 – June 2007 How much you can apply for  Organisations cannot apply for more than £10,000 of A4A grants in any two year period.  £300 to £10,000

7 Awards for All – slide 7 Version 1 – June 2007 Costs you can apply for Capital and revenue costs or mixture of both Examples: computers musical instruments venue and equipment volunteers’ expenses training professional fees publicity materials transport costs

8 Awards for All – slide 8 Version 1 – June 2007  repeat events or activities, or the normal running costs of your organisation  salaries of permanent or fixed term staff  activities that have already taken place  activities that promote a religious belief  loans or interest payments  used vehicles  items that will only benefit an individual  projects with property, building work or land improvement costs more than £25,000 including VAT Costs you can’t apply for

The priorities in the South East are:  Better understanding of different people, places and cultures in our local community  More use of outdoor community spaces  Greater use of community buildings  More opportunities and support for volunteers  Healthier lifestyles for the whole community Regional priorities

10 Awards for All – slide 10 Version 1 – June 2007 Documents It’s as easy as ABC Annual accounts  most recent annual accounts  a projected income and expenditure is acceptable for new groups Bank or building society account  three months worth of original bank statements (most recent must not be more than three months old)  bank details form Constitution

11 Awards for All – slide 11 Version 1 – June 2007 Things to double check Application complete  bank statements are recent and original  all contacts have signed the form  all questions are answered fully Information is right  referee is from the ‘pick list’  contacts have signed in correct place

12 Awards for All – slide 12 Version 1 – June 2007 Things to double check There is enough time  it will take at least two months to process your application The planning  your main contact needs to know about your project in detail Items you are asking for  the application has a list of items we cannot fund  your costings show value for money
