2 Job Description  Use both mathematical and science concepts and apply them in a practical way.  Responsibilities –Planning –Designing –Inspecting –Maintenance –Safety  Use both mathematical and science concepts and apply them in a practical way.  After a few years on the job, an engineer will start to specialize in a certain area.

3 Working Conditions  Works both in the office and on the jobsite.  Works about 8-10 hours a day and will work longer if a deadline is approaching.  Makes phone calls, calculations, and presentations while in the office.  Performs inspection while on the jobsite.  Start with about 10 vacation days a year and will increase to about 20 with experience.
