4. DefinitionsDefinitions Expressions: A variable or combination of variables, numbers, &symbols that represents a mathematical relationship. Equations: A statement that two mathematical expressions are equal. Inequality: A mathematical sentence that compares two unequal expressions using: greater than, less than etc.

5. ExamplesExamples An example of expressions is: 4r, 3x+2y An example of equations is: n+50=75 means that n+50 must equal 75. An example of ineqaulity is: x>2 X is a value greater than 2!
