2 School Improvement Plan Final Report Look what we have accomplished!

3 Reading End of Year Objective: 93% of Everhart students assessed in reading by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report (grades 3 – 10) will achieve a level 3 or 4 in order to attain adequate yearly progress. Evaluation Results: 92% of Everhart students assessed in reading by the Florida alternate Assessment report (grades 3 – 10) achieved a level 3 or 4 in order to attain adequate yearly progress as evidenced by the Florida alternate Assessment Report results. This objective was not met.

4 Writing End of Year Objective: 94% of Everhart students assessed in writing by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report (grades 4, 8 & 10) will achieve a level 3 or 4 in order to attain adequate yearly progress. Evaluation Results: 94% of Everhart students assessed in writing by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report (grades 4, 8 & 10) achieved a level 3 or 4 in order to attain adequate yearly progress as evidenced by the Florida alternate Assessment Report results. This objective was met.

5 Math End of Year Objective: 89% of Everhart students assessed in mathematics by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report (grades 3 – 10) will achieve a level 3 or 4 in order to attain adequate yearly progress. Evaluation Results: 94% of Everhart students assessed in mathematics by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report (grades 3 – 10) will achieve a level 3 or 4 in order to attain adequate yearly progress as evidenced by the Florida alternate Assessment Report results. This objective was met.

6 Science End of Year Objective: 35% of Everhart students assessed in science by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report (grades 5, 8 & 10) will achieve a level 3 or 4 in order to attain adequate yearly progress. Evaluation Results: 91% of Everhart students assessed in science by the Florida Alternate Assessment Report (grades 5, 8 & 10) will achieve a level 3 or 4 in order to attain adequate yearly progress as evidenced by the Florida alternate Assessment Report results. This objective was met.

7 Overall Results Definition of Adequate Progress: Gretchen Everhart defines adequate progress as meeting 3 out of 4 end of year objectives in our School Improvement Plan. According to the data collected, teacher observations, and documentation 3 out of 4 objectives were met indicating that adequate progress was made at Gretchen Everhart School during the 2006-2007 school year.

8 What will change for 2007-08? The assessment system will change as mandated by the State of Florida Department of Education The assessment will be called: Florida Alternate Assessment

9 What we know so far: Takes into consideration the 3 access point levels –Participatory Level –Supported Level –Independent Level Performance Task Approach Allows students to work across levels to their fullest potential

11 When? Test Administration window is from March 3 rd – 28 th (FCAT is from March 12 th – 28 th )

12 What we are waiting to hear from DOE It is still not clear how individual and school results will be reported The scores may not be the same as previous years (1-5 scale)

13 Possible scores The scores may range from: 1-3 for Participatory level students 6 for Supported level students 9 for Independent level students

14 What we plan to do for our SIP for 2007-2008 Use the same goals in: »Reading »Writing »Math »Science and aim for improvements over last years scores
