Will cover: Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of New Dimension vehicles and the specialist equipment carried in the vehicles Customer and Management Support Services, including 24/7 technical helpdesk and operational Logistics Support Support and configuration of specialist mobile communications (e.g. satcom) The services may also include the provision of certain statutory training for specialist equipment

Firebuy Website: www.firebuy.gov.uk Pumping appliances Framework Agreement awarded to 6 UK Fire Vehicle Manufacturers for the Supply of Pumping Appliances January 2007 82 appliances currently on order through framework Further 80 in mini-competitions Key features : Firm contractual agreements with key sub-contractor Market testing / benchmarking exercises by suppliers Increased warranties 24hr delivery on critical parts and services Increase in % of SMEs and recyclable products

Firebuy Website: www.firebuy.gov.uk Key market place factors affecting procurement of fire vehicles Delays in chassis cab deliveries and pricing Huge requirements for Euro 4 engine chassis particularly from China and Russia are causing delays in delivery plus prices to rise Steel + aluminium raw material prices have increased by +11% Manufacturers are recovering Euro 4 development costs + Euro 5 costs FRS only requires 220 average appliances per annum
