3. Where did they come from? The Hebrews originally came from a city-state in Mesopotamia. A man by the name of Abram received word from Yahweh to take his family out of Mesopotamia. Abram took his family to Canaan.

6. Promise Yahweh and Abram’s promise: God had promised Abram that as long as Abram obeyed his word, he would provide Abram with the “Promise” land. Abram and Yahweh’s promise is known as the covenant.
