Companies try to distinguish their product of service on the basis of low price, while not exposing all the cons of the cheaper product. The ad is showing price competition by showing the amount of money you can save if you purchase this product. It does not explain the benefits or what it can offer to the consumer.

2 Price Competition Progressive Car Insurance Able to receive liable insurance at less of a price. The price is much lower than lets say AllState car insurance. Lower prices usually appeals more to the consumer audience. The picture is comparing the price of progressive vs. state farm. Progressive obviously is the cheaper insurance therefore, the company is using price competition to appeal to consumers.

3 NON PRICE COMPETITION Xerox Xerox company highlights the distinctive benefits and features of their product however, not by price association. This picture is depicting the numerous amount of activities and services that the Xerox company can provide to a consumer without stating how much the service or product cost.

It benefits the look of women by giving the feeling of soft lips by silk therapy. and can be distinguish against the cheaper non name brand lip perfection. The ad depicts that Covergirl lip perfection will give you soft beautiful lips that will last up to seven days. This explains that the company is not using price competition because they are not trying to sell a product based on the price of the product.
