Course Level Expectations EOC assessments use CLEs (Course-Level Expectations) MAP assessments use (Grade-Level Expectations) When the content of the CLEs are covered, the test can be administered regardless of student grade level. 8
9
EOC and MAP Some similarity to MAP Some distinct differences Those differences are notated in the manuals by a “NOTE” that is set apart. Missouri educators are highly involved. 9

How long do the tests take? Session I and Session II can each fit into a 55 minute class period. However, the tests are not strictly timed and schedules should be flexible to enable students to complete each session. 14

This code applies to all content assessments. Refer to the directions following this table for notifying DESE. An Examiner reads any part of the English II test to a student. Bubble in “04 Oral Reading – invalidates test.” This code applies to both Session I and II of the English II assessments. An Examiner signs any part of the English II test to a student. Bubble in “05 Signing of assessment- invalidates test.” This code applies to both Sessions I and II of the English II assessments. An Examiner paraphrases the test questions in any content area. Bubble in the “06 Paraphrasing – invalidates test.” This code applies to all content assessments. An Examiner reads any part of the English II test to a student in the student’s native language. Bubble in “11 Oral reading in native language –invalidates test.” This code applies to both Session I and II of the English II assessments. A student uses a bilingual dictionary for any part of the English II test Bubble in “43 Use of bilingual dictionary – invalidates test.” This code applies to both Session I and II of the English II assessments.

Student Barcode Labels (con’t) Page 13 Information on barcode labels came from MOSIS pre-code system Check for accuracy & completeness ◦ Student Name ◦ MOSIS ID ◦ Date of Birth ◦ School Name ◦ District Name ◦ Grade 36
37
Difference in Procedures Page 13 Do not use both the student bar code label and the Student Information Sheet The student barcode label will override the biographic information bubbled on the SIS This procedure is the opposite of the MAP procedure 37
38
Difference Noted 38
39
How to use Barcode Labels Page 13 If/Then chart gives explicit instructions RPC will not print additional barcode labels District is responsible for SIS for the students who do not receive labels or whose information incorrect. 39
40
IFTHEN 40 The student barcode biographic information is accurate. Any student barcode biographic information is inaccurate Before testing, a student barcode label is already affixed to a Session I answer sheet and some of the biographic information on the label is subsequently determined to be inaccurate. A Session I assessment is in progress or completed and a student barcode label is already affixed to a Session I answer sheet, but some of the biographic information on the label is subsequently determined to be inaccurate. Before testing, a student barcode label is already affixed to a Session II test book and some of the biographic information on the label is subsequently determined to be inaccurate. A Session II assessment is in progress or completed and a student barcode label is already affixed to a Session II test book, but some of the biographic information on the label is subsequently determined to be inaccurate Student barcode labels are not provided for a student Affix the first student barcode label to the designated area on the Session I answer sheet. Affix the second student barcode label to the SIS of the Session II test book. (See picture on pages 15 and 16 for the correct placement of the student barcode label.) Do not use the student barcode label. Instead, manually complete all sections of the SIS for both Session I and Session II. Securely destroy the incorrect Session I answer sheet. Then fill in all the SIS information on a new Session I answer sheet. Transcribe answers to a new, unused Session I answer sheet. Then fill in all the SIS information on the new answer sheet. Securely destroy the old Session I answer sheet. Mark “DO NOT SCORE” on the front of the Session II test book. Then return that test book to Riverside Publishing with other secure non-scorable materials. Then fill in all the SIS information on a new Session II test book. Mark “DO NOT SCORE” on the front of the original Session II test book. Transcribe answers verbatim to a new, unused Session II test book. Fill in all the SIS information on the new Session II test book. Return the test book that is labeled “DO NOT SCORE” to Riverside Publishing with other secure non- scorable materials. 1.Acquire the student’s missing information for using in completing the SIS. Students MUST have a MOSIS ID. 2.Fill in all biographic information on the SIS and leave the student barcode area blank.

District Team Decision – Delayed This is a new bubble designed for students who are not yet ready to take the EOC assessment for which they were enrolled. 44
45
District Procedure PRIOR to the testing window(s), the district should have their “delay” procedure clearly in place The procedure should: ◦ include decision parameters ◦ include who is on the team to make the decision ◦ be in writing 45
46
Bubble and Document If the district believes a particular student is not ready to take the EOC assessment for which he/she was enrolled, the district team makes the decision based upon the qualifications outlined in procedures. The STC bubbles in the “District Team Decision – Delayed” on the student’s SIS. The district keeps documentation about the decision to delay testing. 46
47
Some new accommodations Accommodation Codes are listed on pages 40, 41 and 42 in Test Coordinator’s Manual and also included in the Examiners’ Manuals. 47
48
Students with Disabilities Page 42 NOTE: Oral reading of the English II test results in the LOSS (Lowest Obtainable Scale Score). Exception: Students identified as blind/visually impaired (who do not read Braille) may use the oral reading accommodation if it is their primary instructional method. Page 42 48
49
Note for Students with Disabilities Page 42 NOTE 2: Paraphrasing test questions invalidates all EOC assessment student scores for accountability purposes. NOTE: Use of magnifying equipment, amplification equipment, graph paper and testing with the teacher facing the student are not listed as accommodations because these are not required to be reported as accommodations for the EOC assessments. 49

65
Step 3: Distribute Testing Materials Page 20 Every test book has a unique security barcode number Inventory test books before and after test administration Ensure 100% rate of return Do not share test books among schools 65
66
Do Not Share Test Books In order to preserve the sequential integrity of the security barcodes, do not share test books among schools. If a test book is loaned to a school and later determined to be missing, the original school will be responsible for the missing test book. 66
67
Session I Selected Response Non-Scorable Test Books Each content has separate test books. Answers go on separate answer sheets, not in test books. ALL Session I selected response test books (both used and unused) must be accounted for and returned to Riverside Publishing Company. 67
68
Session I Answer Sheets Page 20 Answer sheets are machine scored MUST be handled carefully – must not be folded, clipped, stapled, taped, or torn DTC or STC should remove any stray marks Destroy any unused Session I answer sheets 68
69
Session II Scannable Test Books Page 21 One test book per content area consisting of performance events or a writing task. Students will write their answers in the test book. To-be-scored Session II test books go to ARC (Assessment Resource Center) All unused or non-scorable Session II test books must be accounted for and returned to RPC (Riverside Publishing Company) 69

One Building ID Sheet goes with Session II test books to ARC. School identification information has been pre-coded on the form. Do NOT make changes on the preprinted form. If incorrect, use one of the blank sheets provided. Page 23 76
77
Group Identification Sheets Page 23 At minimum, two Group ID Sheets (GIS) per content area, per school, must be completed. Additional GIS may be used to break down test groups for scoring and reporting purposes Each group will have two GISs ◦ One will go to RPC ◦ One will go to ARC 77
78
GIS (con’t) Page 23 The information on the GIS must be identical for Session I and Session II groups. All scorable test materials packed under under a single GIS must be of the same content area and session. Please note that the GIS is a scannable document and cannot be photocopied. DTC can provide additional GIS. 78
