Every Monday (unless it is a holiday), your student will have a green sheet in the orange (notes to parents) folder. The purpose of the green sheet is to make you aware of any “signs” during the week. This needs to be signed and returned. Cell phone policy: Phones must be stored in lockers, and turned off (unless a teacher gives the okay to use it in class). If phone is taken up by a teacher, there is a $15 fee when parent retrieves it from the Assistant Principal.

Arrival and Dismissal: Doors open at 7:30 Students are dismissed from cafeteria at 8:05. Tardy bell rings at 8:20. Your student is considered tardy if they are not in the classroom at 8:20. We dismiss at 3:20 through the east doors. No early dismissal after 3:00. Please only pick up or drop off in the front drive, not in the faculty/staff parking lot. If you are in the 2 middle lanes in the drive, please stay in your vehicle. The 2 outside lanes are for parking.

Dress Code “A student’s conduct is related to their clothing.” When leggings or spandex are worn, another layer of clothing that covers all body parts. Straps on dresses or shirts must be as wide as 2 fingers. No sagging pants are allowed. The minimum length of shorts must be no shorter than the tip of the longest finger with student’s hand fully extended down the side of the student’s leg. Torn, cut/slashed or frayed material that reveals any area of skin above the knee is inappropriate.

Each teacher has a place in her classroom to help students with missing or incomplete assignments. If your student has a yellow slip stapled to their planner, please help them understand the importance of getting their work turned in; in a timely manner.

POSITIVE BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONS AND SUPPORTS (PBIS) ALL KEY ELEMENTARY FACULTY AND STAFF ARE GIVING OUT COLT CASH WHEN STUDENTS ARE MAKING GOOD CHOICES IN THE CLASSROOM, HALLWAY, CAFETERIA AND RESTROOMS. THIS COLT CASH CAN BE USED TO “PURCHASE” POPCORN, GOLDFISH, SPECIAL PENCILS, BOTTLES OF WATER, LUNCH WITH A BUDDY, AND PENCIL TOP ERASERS. THEY WILL ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN ITEMS FROM DRAWINGS DONE BY MRS. JACKSON AND MRS. TURNER.

FUN FACTS ABOUT THE 6 TH GRADE TEACHERS Mrs. Borroum has memorized the Chick Fil A menu. Mrs. Brown enjoys hot yoga. Mrs. Foster was a college cheerleader. Mrs. Borroum likes to Karaoke(Aretha Franklin and Shania Twain). Mrs. Foster is called Mary Poppins by her teammates, because whatever we need, she just pulls out of her bag. Mrs. Brown was born and adopted in Germany.
