3. 3 Animals  Giant Armadillo- It’s average length is 35 inches. 2/5 is the tail length.  Brown hairy dwarf porcupine- Natural habitat is the sub-tropical or tropical moist lowland forests.  Northern Ghost Bat- It is rare and completely white. Often found infected with rabies.

5. Popular (famous) Authors  Rafael Arraiz Lucca- (Batallas, published 1995) He is a poet.  Teresa de la Parra- (Souvenirs of Mama Blanca, published 1929) She wrote books.  Andres Eloy Blanco- (Canto a Esapna, published 1923) He wrote poems and books.

8. Culture  More than 96% consider themselves to be catholic, most of the rest are Protestant. The heritage has been heavily influenced by the Caribbean context. The culture has been shaped by Spanish and African influences along with the ancient tribes that lived there.  Gatia Zuliana is a dance often preformed at the Christmas season. It is a type of folk music

9. Tourist Attractions  Angel Falls: Also known as Kerepakupai Meru. It’s water’s free-fall for.6 mile it makes it the world’s highest waterfall.

10. Tourist Attractions, pg 2  Parque Nacional Canaima- This National Forest means “ The Great Savanna” in Spanish. It is 870 miles from Caracas and the tallest point (Mount Roraima) serves as a triple border point (Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana).

11. Geography/Topography  There are 4 regions:  Maracaibo lowlands, the northern mountains, Orinoco plains, and the Guiana highlands.  The corrindents are 8 o North and 66 o West

12. FOOD!!!!!!!!  Arepa- a cornmeal cake that can be grilled, baked or fried. The inside is filled with meat and cheese.  Casabe- a type of bread, considered to be the oldest bread in the Americas. Often eaten at every meal, Venezuelans eat more than 30,000 kg each year.

13. FOOD!!!!!!!!!  Ensalada caprese- Famous Italian  dish, consisting of tomato, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil  Lengua de res- Wonderful cow tongue served in a viniagretta
