1 Welcome to hawks Class Mrs Shead and Miss Lehan

2 Homework Reading is very important. Children have a home reading record. They are expected to read every day at home and get their reading records signed. Reading records need to be in school every day This term we are reading the book How to Train your Dragon by Cressida Cowell We are asking children to research the author and bring their findings into class to put on display.

3 Homework is set every Monday and will be expected to be back in school the following Monday : Spellings Times tables Termly project Children should have pride in their work at all times. Word 1 st try2 nd try3 rd tryNext day because said they talked play however although initiate boat welcome viking fury adventure train awesome sword fighter hero dragon catch Either write a sentence for each of these words or challenge to put them all into one paragraph

4 School uniform Children are required to wear correct uniform at all times. Boys Girls Tie Drapers Mills school jumper Drapers Mills school cardigan White shirt Black trousers School skirt Grey or black socks Grey or black tights Black school shoes

5 P.E P.E will be on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Every child is excepted to have their P.E kit in school on these days A P.E kits includes T-Shirt Shorts Trainers As the weather becomes cooler jogging bottoms.

7 School clubs We actively encourage children to join school clubs where possible. There are a wide range of clubs which are run at both lunchtimes and after school. These clubs provide a safe and stimulating environment where children can socialise and have fun as well as learn new skills and develop existing ones. We can provide a list of clubs running this term if you wish to have one.

8 In Hawks we have an open door policy, we aim to be available to you if you wish you raise concerns or discuss any matters relating to your child. We have a variety of ways in which Mrs Shead and Miss Lehan can be contacted. 1.We are on the field at home times. Please come and talk to us 2.Email us by signing onto your child’s Classdojo account ( if you have lost your code please let us know ) 3.Contact the office to arrange an appointment 4.Parent’s evening If you have any questions before parent’s evening please come and see us.
