Located inside Pacific Park on Santa Monica Pier, Playland Arcade isn't the sort of arcade that you'll want to visit every day. Traffic can be a bit of a mess around here and parking is often pricey. If you are planning on a day at the beach, though, it's a solid, diverse arcade to visit. There are a handful of redemption games here. I'm partial Skee-Ball. There are also a handful of classic and relatively recent arcade games. This is by far the busiest arcade I saw while crisscrossing the county in search of video games. With its mix of locals and tourists, it's a good place for people-watching. 350 Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica.Playland Arcade

The only outlet mall in L.A., Citadel Outlets is often referred to as the mall off the 5 Freeway with the Assyrian facade, or as natives might say, it’s the original site to the Samson Tire and RubberCompany, which opened in May 1930. Regardless, this mall definitely nails it for awesome discounts and deals on name brands. Visit Citadel Outlets for stores like American Apparel (yes, they have the basics and more 30 – 70 percent off the regular retail prices), Vince Camuto (aisles and aisles of runway- style shoes and accessories), Zales The Diamond Store (you never know what a true bargain hunter will find), Billabong Outlet (for the true Cali dudes), Tillys (perfect for teens) and a Starbucks (this one serves their signature fresh fare).Company The only outlet mall in L.A., Citadel Outlets is often referred to as the mall off the 5 Freeway with the Assyrian facade, or as natives might say, it’s the original site to the Samson Tire and RubberCompany, which opened in May 1930.
