Assure Agency-Program Fit and Provide Adequate Resources: Readjustment of job descriptions to include time commitments to training, peer support, supervision recruiting for and carrying out new programs. Administrative support for: Quality childcare, transportation, materials preparation, weekly calls, to parents/teachers, meals Adequate time for marketing the program, recruiting families, and to assure appropriate referrals Other resources?

Develop Peer Support Networks Within Agencies or Schools Weekly Collaborative video reviews Sharing Brainstorming solutions to challenges

Adhere to Program Dosage, Order, & Protocols Program fidelity o Monitoring group leaders’ adherence to session protocols, key content, & therapeutic process principles o Training, supervision, and accreditation help group leaders and administrators o Recommended number of sessions is the minimum

Promoting Leader Accreditation (Certified Group Leader) Requirements o Adherence to session protocols o Excellent parent attendance o Positive weekly and final client evaluations o Two self- and peer-evaluations for each complete program offered o Completion of a 3 day training workshop o Satisfactory review of a complete video of a group session Peer Coach and Peer Mentor

Building a Supportive Infrastructure Which Promotes Program Sustainability Administrative staff and internal advocate need to plan for ongoing group leader consultation and supervision with an IYS trainer (by phone or in person) Agency Readiness Questionnaire is a helpful resource Encouraging and supporting selected group leaders for certification Provide reinforcement for ongoing commitment and model adherence Goal-self-sufficiency for ongoing training and support
