This has a number of advantages: Small file sizes Software to read the units is freely available Works on all devices Improved print quality of materials N.B. Making notes The pen tool allows the user to make notes on any part of the screen.

Changing pen colour Choose the colour palette at any time to change the pen colour – this is done by clicking the right mouse button on the pen icon and choosing ‘Tool Default Properties’. This can be useful if there is need to distinguish between different types of comment, or if being used by students in the classroom. Navigating the unit Bookmarks are available on the left hand side of the screen, allowing the user to move from one part of the unit to the next.

Item level data The first screen shows the item level data. An item is a questions or part question within a script. The table shows the data for all WJEC candidates attempting this paper. It can be compared with a particular centre’s data in order to evaluate the achievements of the centre’s candidates. (Item level data for individual candidates and centres is available through the WJEC secure website. See the presentation on this facility for more information). Facility factor graph A graphical representation of the Facility Factor is also available by clicking the ‘Facility Factor graph’ bookmark.

Access to a question Clicking one of the green question bookmarks will show the relevant question for discussion.

The mark scheme At any point, clicking the red ‘Mark scheme’ bookmark will open a new window with the mark scheme for that particular question. This can exist on screen while looking at the question or exemplar answers. N.B. Size this window in the usual way

Marked answer with commentary 0 Learners’ responses marked and with commentary are also available. Clicking the ‘+’ box will open a new branch so that the marked script can be viewed (as above in example 1). Clicking this box again will hide the branch. Hovering the mouse above one of the yellow speech bubbles will open the examiner’s comments.
