Opening page of UC
8
Configuring JSTOR
9
Additional fields if harvest using SUSHI:
10
Steps for loading usage data: 1) Upload file to the system (manually or via SUSHI load)
11
Steps for loading usage data: 2) System checks validity of file 3) System matches titles to KB
12
Why title match? so resources across different vendors can be accurately consolidated across different platforms matching ensures the usage statistics for these are applied to 1 journal and NOT 3 separate ones
13
Steps for loading usage data: 4) Review load and work through exceptions
15
Steps for loading usage data: 5)Mark review as complete – usage files become available through reporting
16

GSU’s Usage Consolidation Timeline (projected!)

Road blocks and other challenges…. It certainly isn’t plug ‘n play: Platform configuration Add to KB first? Matching titles Research title history & our collection content Manipulating COUNTER reports Image attribution: Road block by annamatic3000, http://www.flickr.com/photos/annamatic3000/2140363882/
23
Road blocks and other challenges…. Waiting on fixes Titles added to KB Diacritics Matching glitches: -- some titles won’t match; -- some matches aren’t retained Cost per use Post load data discoveries Image attribution: Wash out by Adam Franco, http://www.flickr.com/photos/adamfranco/2804475369/
24
Administration in Social Work – 2011 usage in EBSCONET – estimated usage with incomplete COUNTER report load
25
Enhancements we would like to see: Ability to set viewing preferences for results lists Full list of available platforms in the configure section Ability to search by ISSN when title matching Ability to reverse an ignore decision, or modify a match Integration with ERM Essentials A User Community
