Presentation of the new version Robot Telescope On this film you can easily notice that our construction is base on parallactic mount It has two axis. The first one is parallel to axis of the earth called declination axis and the second one perpendicular to axis of the earth called hour axis. Besides this construction has additional option. There is possibility of deflection of the cameras.
3
Comparison between the new construction and the old concept RA (Φ=800mm) RA (Φ=400mm) setting fixation inside setting fixation outside Concept from the last yearRecent design that is just under construction The picture preserves proportion of the real models We managed to decrease the size of the biggest wheel by half of size (idea from J. Grygorczuk)
4
Deflection of the cameras Deflection to outside – old ideaDeflection to inside – new idea given by J.Grygorczuk First we have changed the mechanism of deflecting cameras. Now the turn inside instead of outside. But overall field of view of the cameras remains the same.
5
290 mm (in old concept was 175 mm) The next important change was to move the cameras outside of the wheel. Unfortunately it caused the centre of mass to move out of the geometrical centre of the construction but fortunately we reduced the size by one half to 400mm
6
Ring of steel for Dec Ring of steel for RA Stepper motor for RA Redactor – harmonic drive for RA
7
Harmonic drive The harmonic Drive is generally made up of just three components: wave generator, a flexipline and a circular spline
8
Absolute encoders Encoders for DEC Encoders for RA 13 bit multi-turn Absolute Encoders = 8192 counts per revolution
9
Plan of future work The finish of the first robotic telescope is planning on August Production of all other robotic end send in Canaries Island is planning on October
