Newtrax Technologies Inc www.newtrax.com, 1-877-NEWTRAX, support@newtrax.com 5 | 1 November 2012 Caplamp To check if a caplamp is connected to the MineTrax network, simply ping the NetID of the caplamp from a MineTrax Gateway. – Be certain to have the caplamp outside of the charger otherwise the caplamp will not be responding to any commands. – This applies to Jannatec caplamp and GoldenFuture caplamp.

Newtrax Technologies Inc www.newtrax.com, 1-877-NEWTRAX, support@newtrax.com 8 | 1 November 2012 Conspec Gas Sensor [Calibration] 1.Open the cover, connect the USB to Stereo cable and remove the magnet. 2.Install the gas cap over the sensor head and connect it to the zero gas bottle. Open the Zero gas bottle. 3.In Conspec’s CDI Software, use the Sensor Head Unit – Sensor Status on address 1 register 0. 4.Press Manual Calib and press Zero. A countdown from 500 should be visible. 5.Once the count reaches 0 or the ADC value does not move anymore, press Set. 6.Close the Zero gas bottle and switch the gas bottle to the span gas. Open the Span gas bottle. 7.Press Span and follow the same step as #5. 8.Once Set, press End to write the value to the sensor head.

(In the example above, we are reading register 0 to 5)

A MDT RTU is considered an infrastructure node with instrument reading capability. At the MineTrax gateway, you can troubleshoot an instrument by trying to read its value by using these commands: – displaymdtmessages on – getmdtdata [NetID]
