Monday 13 th May, 2013 On the first day we flew from Gdańsk to Warsaw and then to Italy. We arrived in Ponte in Valtellina which is a small village in the mountains. We came as first visitors and had a good welcome. We saw our rooms and talked a little with the Italians. We were waiting together for people from other countries. When everybody came, we got to know each other. After that, the hosts showed us around the area. In the evening we had welcome dinner with the mayor of Ponte in Valtellina, the headmaster and the coordinators of the Comenius Project. - Nadia

Tuesday 14 th May, 2013 We got up before 7 o'clock. At 7.30 we had breakfast in a school canteen. We had strawberries, cornflakes, bread rolls with nutella and jam. They also served coffee, tea and cocoa. After the energetic meal we went to the sports center in Chiuro. The weather was great. The sun was shining and it was nice and warm. We took part in sports competition. There were athletics and team games: volleyball and football tournaments. We were split into six teams: yellow, orange, light blue, navy blue, green and black. Everybody thought that the orange team was going to win but they lost a lot of points in volleyball. My team – yellow, won. The second place was taken by the orange team. The black team won the third place. The sports day was attractive and entertaining, we all had fantastic time together. Especially the last fun game – Tug-Of-War was hard, demanding but extremely satisfying. At the end of the day everybody was invited to dinner with the host family. I went to Veronica's and Giorgia's house. The house was impressive, the family seemed friendly and the food was delicious. After the meal we spent an interesting evening. We were playing games and talking about our countries and cultural differences and similarities. This day was unforgettable. I have made new friends, I'm going to stay in touch with them. - Marta

Wednesday 15 th May, 2013 At 8'o clock we went to the Italian school to observate their lessons and compare the differences with our Polish school. We could choose 2 lessons which we would like to see. Together with Rafał we chose a technology lesson and an English lesson. The only difference noticed by us was the thing that lessons last for 1 hour and the break for 5 minutes. In Poland it is 45 minutes for a lesson and 10 minutes for a break. The technology lesson was very interesting, it was about digital cameras and at the end we even could take part in that lesson and take some photos. The English lesson was easier to understand for us because the technology one was in Italian. At 14:30 we went to San Bernardo where we visited an observatory and a botanical garden. Also we had an orienteering run in teams with maps which was about to find all checkpoints as fast as we could. After this competition we had a party. Later we had dinner where we met a girl who was Italian but she could speak Polish. The way back to the place where we stayed took long because the driver didn't come on time. It wasn't a problem because we spent this time singing songs with our teachers. It was a very exhausting but exciting day. -Sebastian

Thursday 16 th May, 2013 We went to Milan – the capital of fashion. The most awaited day suprised us with the weather. It started from little rain drops and then changed into heavy rain. The city is beautiful. Firstly,we were walking in the alley of expensive shops. There was also a famous bull made of tiles on the floor. The legend says that if you turn on it on your heel you will come back again to Milan. Secondly, we went to see the one of most beautiful cathedrals. It is one of the biggest churches in the world. It was decorated with stain glass. The weather wasn't a problem and we enjoyed every moment spent in this city. - Dorota

Friday 17 th May, 2013 At the last day we had to get up very early, eat breakfast and pack our luggage. A while after breakfast the driver came for us. We put our bags into the bus and drove to Bergamo airport. The travel took us a long time so we could sleep several hours because it was very early then. At 10:50 we had a plane to Poland. When we got home we sent friend invites on Facebook to people from all the countries. Sometimes we chat together. It was a very good time spent in Italy and I would visit it again if there was a possibility. - Rafał
