1. God is Everywhere God is with us in all experiences, both good and bad Psalm 139:8-9 – God fills the whole of creation o Heaven (v8) o Place of the dead (v8) o From the east to the west (v9) o Jeremiah 23:23-24: "Am I only a God nearby,” declares the LORD, "and not a God far away? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the LORD. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD. o Darkness doe not hide us (v11-12)

2. God sees all things (Proverbs 15:3) God knows all things (Psalm 139:4) Sometimes God has to judge (Amos 9:1-4) Jesus has saved us from God’s judgement!

3. God wants to guide, protect and hold His people Jacob: o Vision of stairway into heaven (Genesis 28:10-22) o Wrestling with God (Genesis 32:22-32) Joseph o In Potiphar’s house (Genesis 39:2-3) o In Prison (Genesis 39:21-23) o All the things he had to go through (Genesis 50:20)

4. Jonah ◦ Tries to run away from God ◦ God uses a storm to stop him (Jonah 1) ◦ God saves Jonah with fish (Jonah 2) ◦ God uses Jonah to save Nineveh (Chapter 3-4)

5. God is always with us (Deuteronomy 31:16)) What God makes is good (Genesis 1:31, Psalm 139:13-14) God loves you (John3:16) Jesus became a man to die for us (Philippians 2:5-8) His death bought us forgiveness from sins and freedom from guilt (Romans 8:31)
