“Housekeeping” Snack Everyday Water Bottles Label Snow stuff (snow pants, hat, gloves and boots) Scholastic book orders- checks only. You can order online. Classroom Parties—There is a sign up sheet if you would like to help Parent conferences-Please sign up before you leave. (Dec. 2, Dec. 2 (night), and Dec. 8) Web page- I have added good websites to help the students practice math facts Birthday Celebrations- We are a peanut free class. Please send in a packaged birthday snack!

Homework Read 20 minutes every night Spelling Practice Math Practice Friday Writing Log Sign Planner every night- this is a great way for us to communicate

Lead 21 Spelling Lists-the student works on a skill for the week There are different themes that we will cover each unit. We will start with Changes.

NYS ELA TEST Some Answers to your Questions… WHO? Every 3rd grade student in New York State What? The test consists of 3 Sections: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and Reading/Writing Why? To find out our strengths and weaknesses in ELA Test Dates? April 5, 6, and 7

Handwriting We will be practicing our handwriting We will learn all our cursive letters The students will each receive a handwriting book.

Math The district adopted Envision Math. This program helps align with the common core. I will send home math homework after I taught the lesson. I will let the students know when they will have a test so they can review at home. You can always do the re-teaching side of the math sheet to help your son/daughter before they complete the practice side. NYS Math: Test Dates; April 13, 14, 15 Practicing flash cards is very valuable.
