Please send in a packaged birthday snack!

5. Lead 21 Spelling Lists-the student works on a skill for the week There are different themes that we will cover each unit. We will start with Changes.

6. NYS ELA TEST Some Answers to your Questions… WHO? Every 3rd grade student in New York State What? The test consists of 3 Sections: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and Reading/Writing Why? To find out our strengths and weaknesses in ELA Test Dates? April 5, 6, and 7

7. Handwriting We will be practicing our handwriting We will learn all our cursive letters The students will each receive a handwriting book.

8. Math The district adopted Envision Math. This program helps align with the common core. I will send home math homework after I taught the lesson. I will let the students know when they will have a test so they can review at home. You can always do the re-teaching side of the math sheet to help your son/daughter before they complete the practice side. NYS Math: Test Dates; April 13, 14, 15 Practicing flash cards is very valuable.
