Help to Organize and Format the Plan Work with the Mitigation Planning Team Rallying The Troops – Residents and officials are very important to the process Assess what has been done and fill any gaps to meet FEMA requirements Ensure we have those things in place to get the plan in the approval arena Ensure Public Involvement

Discussions with project manager on previous work accomplished Documents provided by project manager BSV will review and determine what is missing and begin the update Data will be incorporated into draft document BSV will conduct further discussions with jurisdictions as needed or recommended BSV to work with project manager to set up public meetings to incorporate the public

Most of the work has been accomplished based on the documents provided In Part II of the plan you identify Wildfire, Flood/Flash Flood, Drought, Severe Winter Storm, Earthquake, HazMat and Terrorism as hazards Attachment D lists hazards as only Flooding, Drought, Wildfire and HazMat as hazards

Goals and objectives have been identified for the identified hazards Implementation and monitoring of the plan has been developed Project priorities have been developed

1.Has anything changed that you know of right now that needs to be updated or changed? 2.Is the hazard assessment current or does another assessment need to be conducted? 3.Is your Wildfire Urban Interface current or has that changed? 4.There is a placeholder for jurisdiction infrastructure. Has that been finalized. What specifically was being placed there? 5.Are the goals and objectives in Section III of your plan still appropriate?

6.Is the implementation and monitoring of the plan still sufficient? 7.Are the priority of projects the same or has this changed or requires updating?

Obtained the following plans for review FEMA/FMA Crosswalk Community Wild Protection Plan (CWPP) Comprehensive Plans Local EOPs Any Regional Water Plan FEMA Flood Maps/Plans Jurisdiction Logos

1.Provide any additional data relevant to your jurisdiction. 2.Take the time to review and provide feedback…we want this right for you! 3.Attend the meetings scheduled. And if you can’t attend, please try to send someone in your place. 4.Obtain Leadership support early. This will help expedite the final plan approval that will be needed for FEMA. 5.Keep in mind we are on a very tight calendar schedule. Your commitment and support are greatly appreciated to meet the deadlines for this document.

Presentation of the Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan. Inform the public of the expected projects and generate support for adoption of the plan. Public Hearing. The plan will be presented to the Local Leadership for consideration of adoption. Final Presentation. Presentation of the final plan document to local government officials and citizens.

Provide any feedback to BSV following this meeting BSV will begin formatting the plan BSV will conduct additional research and include in the plan BSV will provide minutes from this meeting Review any data we send for clarification Update the website accordingly Next Meeting – February 4/5, 2012
