Finals Week Survival Tips

Organize Pre-Exam Hours The day before an important exam plan to REVIEW a MAXIMUM of 3 hours interspersed with pace-changing breaks. Remember to question yourself and re-read text passages only when you are having difficulty remembering them.

Eat and Sleep WELL during finals week so that you are refreshed for your exams.

The day of your exams get up early to prepare MENTALLY for them.

Before each exam, take a shower, have a good meal, exercise (walking is good), breathe deeply.

STAY CALM It may be helpful to take a last look at your summary notes before the exam but avoid them if it makes you nervous.

Be sure you have all necessary supplies before LEAVING your room. For Example: *Pencil/Pen *Scantron *Blue Book *Calculator (with new batteries) *Scrap Notebook Paper (*Will vary from class to class)

Arrive in the examination room a few minutes before exam time. Take a seat where you will have good lighting and won’t be distracted by friends or noise.

Preparation is 3/4 of the work!
