Were you ever afraid to walk under a ladder and just didn't know why? Well, you were just being superstitious! Superstitions are beliefs and practices that most people feel do not make sense.

Step on a crack, and break your mother's back. Break a mirror and you will have seven years bad luck. If you find a four-leaf clover, you will have good luck. If you have a good luck charm that you believe will help you, such as a horseshoe or a rabbits' foot, then you might be a little superstitious!

There are a lot of superstitions about cats. Here are just a few. When a cat washes its face, it will rain. Cats have nine lives. A back cat crossing your path will bring bad luck.

You should knock on wood to avoid bad luck. Do not walk under an open ladder. Breaking a mirror will bring you 7 years bad luck. Find a penny and pick it up. All the day you'll have good luck. Some people have lucky clothing and they will always wear the same clothes that make them feel lucky. Sometimes they refuse to wash it!!
