Use it When should we use this formula?
When you have a point and the slope! Write the equation of the line that has a slope, m = 3/4, and goes through the point, (2, -1)

Write the equations of the following lines in point-slope form
point: (3, 4); m = -3 point: (-2, 0); m = -2/5 point: (0, 4); m = 1

Put the previous three linear equations into slope-intercept form.

Can you get point slope from just two points?
(2, 3) and (1, 5) (-4, 1) and (0, 6)
