Welcome, everyone. This speech is so hard to make. Today we are gathered together to wish a fond farewell and good luck to Bert Gunsby, who has been working here at Reiley Industries for 25 years. I’d like to begin by talking a little about Bert’s achievements here at Reiley. Most prominently, I think you all remember his prowess on the company baseball team. Or lack of it! Luckily, we don’t hire people based on sporting ability in this company! No, but seriously, I think Bert’s proudest moment would have to be his streamlining of the company’s processes in 2001, which resulted in 12 percent higher productivity and increased profits. On top of this, Bert has proved himself to be a loyal and motivated employee, as well as a good friend to many people here. To sum up, Bert – it’s been a pleasure working with you, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that you will be sadly missed. Let’s raise our glasses to a respected colleague, hard worker, brilliant manager and treasured friend. Here’s to you, Bert! 7. Script7. Script
