2. Causes The causes of stillbirths are still unknown, even when autopsy’s have been performed. In some cases that are known consist because of the following : Bacterial Infection Birth defects Chromosomal aberrations Postdate Pregnancy Maternal diabetes Those are just to name a few but there are many other cases in which are unknown.

3. Prevention Since many cases are unknown it makes prevention very difficult. Some things I suggest pregnant women should do to try and prevent are: – Make sure they go to there appointments as scheduled. – Make sure that you are aware of how you should be feeling such as if you are feeling sick out of nowhere, consistently passing diarrhea, or fluids coming out of your vagina. – If you are not feeling the baby moving the way s/he normally would. There are many more precautions that one should be aware of. I believe people should really do there research on stillbirths because it can happen to anyone.

4. Experience I recently went through a still birth almost two years ago. I was expecting a little girl, she was supposed to be the first granddaughter. People say it is very rare but it happened to me. I had no complications during my whole pregnancy and it happened to me 3 days before my due date. I still feel as though it happened to me yesterday even though it was long ago. I always thought what are the odds, I always believed that everything happens for a reason but maybe if I were more aware this would have never happened
