How would you describe me? Deciduous/hardwood Leaves 7-20cm long with double- serrate margins and an oblique base Grows until frost hits Grows to about 100 years old, 27 m tall Gets a disease called “Dutch Elm Disease” Vase shaped crown Over hanging branches

Where do I grow? Moist deep soils Mixed forests Can live in temperatures as low as -42 degrees Celsius

Some cool facts about me… I used to grow to more than 3 times wider before my kind started to get Dutch elm disease When building a house, a lot of people use me as a kind of wood for furniture A main reason why my kind die is because of Dutch Elm Disease
