Northern & Yorkshire Cancer Registry & Information Service NHS 27 July 2009 ~9,000 cancer deaths in the under 75s per year across the three cancer networks (based on 2007) This has reduced in absolute numbers by 13.7% between 1996 and 2007 However, the under 75s population has also reduced between 1996 and 2006 (-0.36 YCN, -0.88 HYC, -1.27 NECN) Key facts

Mortality rates for prostate – often erratic and difficult to interpret. Changing profile of cancer deaths across 5 year age bands.
