The importance of agroecology, organic agriculture and tradicional knoledge –Key to fight Hunger and Malnutrition

9 IYFF-2014 Feeding the World, Caring for the Earth Family Farming: key issues –The paradox of food waste and the effects of price volatility –Need to prioritize food production close to local populations, especially close to those who suffer Hunger º –Family Farming needs innovation to increase production and generate welfare among farmers; without reducing rural employment

10 IYFF-2014 Feeding the World, Caring for the Earth IYFF-2014: Focus on national level –National level, an essential space to negotiate better agricultural policies –IYFF-2014 National Committees: group of CSO that decide to promote the IYFF-2014 and its objectives in each country –After defining their objectives, National Committees open dialogues with governments and international bodies
