Assessment Types Technology Practice Tests –Demo tests with universal usernames and logins for anyone to access and experience the KITE Client testing environment. Interim Testlets –Interim testlets are a growing pool of small item collections for a grade and subject aligned to Alaska’s standards. These will begin in the fall. New interim item collections including performance tasks and listening items will be available in January. Dynamic Learning Maps –A consortium of many states collaboratively developing an assessment system for children with the most significant cognitive delays grades 3-8 and 9-10. (ELA and Math) Summative Assessment –High stakes end of year assessments in English Language Arts and Math. We are doing science this year, in grades 4, 8, and 10. The tests will all be machine-scorable, and will consist of three parts.
5
Assessment types Technology Practice Tests Interim Assessments Dynamic Learning Maps Summative Assessment Performance Tasks –Performance Tasks, given in conjunction with AMP summative assessments this year, integrate knowledge and skills across multiple standards and can be used to measure skills at a greater depth of knowledge than can be adequately assessed with machine-scorable items. ELA Performance Tasks will ask students to consider a range of short resources (essays, various forms of media, informational texts) and to then write a response to a prompt about those resources in a way that demonstrates reasoning and understanding. Math Performance Tasks are collections of items centered on multiple mathematical concepts that may be organized around real-world situations or central themes.

Demonstration of working with your Enrollment Extract. Adding +1 to all grades 1.Space columns to match data width 2.Insert a column by clicking on the M above column M (Local_Student_Identifier) to select the whole column, then right click and select insert. 3.Copy and paste the header from cell L1 into cell M1. 4.Select cell M2. 5.Click into the formula bar located above the spreadsheet. 6.Type the equals sign/= into the formula bar 7.Select cell L2 8.Now, back in the formula bar, type +1 and hit enter. 9.Select cell M2 and grab the bottom right corner of the green selection box to pull the box down through the rest of your data in the column M. Note: this pulls the equation through the column applying the formula to the data in each cell. Do not pass your data or 1 will be added to empty rows. 10.“Save as” and close the file. Do not select to save again. Note: this closing and opening step removes the formula and flattens out the file saving the data as numbers. 11.Reopen the file 12.Select column L and delete (your original Current_Grade column) 13.Select and delete the first three columns. 14.Save the file 15.Upload into Educator Portal. CSV
